Description: Immerse in a slow exploration of breath and movement with an emphasis on alignment within the basic yoga postures. You will improve posture, body tone, and flexibility while bringing a strong foundation to your yoga practice. This class is suitable for those practicing at a beginning level to those more experienced who want to slow down and relax.

Class: Yoga Nidra Series
Start Time: Sun 3:30pm
End Time: Sun 4:30pm
Description: Yoga Nidra is a powerful technique in which you learn to relax consciously. It is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. You will be fully guided in this ancient form of meditation as you rest in the shavasana position (lying down). During this six week series you will learn about and create your own intention, which then becomes a powerful tool used in the Yoga Nidra practice to create positive shifts in your beliefs about yourself and life. Elaine will be leading the Amrit Desai method of Yoga Nidra. Prior yoga or meditation experience is not required, this class is open to all levels of practice. While this class is a series drop ins are welcome, space permitting.

Class: Candlelight Yin Yoga & Meditation

Description: You will experience a powerful, yet meditative practice targeting the deeper connective tissues of the body. Postures are primarly done on the floor and held for longer periods allowing for a slow and safe opening of the spine, hips and pelvis. A focus on inner stillness and awareness creates an overall feeling of lightness, spaciousness, and peace in the body and mind.

Description: Beginning with a meditative inward focus moving through warm ups and into a stronger flow sequence, we will focus on breath awareness to open the body through deep stretches allowing for increased energy, strength and flexibility. We may explore longer posture holds and pranayama (breath) practices. Jeff has lead this Monday morning class for years now. You can count on a slow relaxed start, perhaps some pranayama, and core for sure!

Class: Heated Freedom Flow

Description: This class moves into an intermediate posture flow with focus on strong core development and is suitable to those that have a regular yoga practice to more advanced practitioners. The breath will carry us through deeper postures building strength, flexibility and endurance. In our moderately heated room, Naresh offers a fun and invigorating flow of eclectic postures; we shift between vibrant movement and then brief active rest to reconnect body, mind and spirit. Strong practice, done well, is rejuvenating and integrating. Please join us for the meditative experience of flowing movement in the body, stillness within held postures, the grace of a mind that is concentrated, and the joy of a heart that is alive. The atmosphere is concentrated and playful.

Description: This beginner level practice is a bridge between the Beginner or Gentle classes and the Intermediate classe. With a focus on posture development within a slower moving flow sequence you will continue to develop strength and flexibility while advancing your practice.

Our experienced teachers will guide you through a eight week introduction developing a foundation in beginner level postures using breath to develop inner awareness and with a focus on proper alignment and safety in movement. Description: Beginning with a meditative inward focus moving through warm ups and into a stronger flow sequence, we will focus on breath awareness to open the body through deep stretches allowing for increased energy, strength and flexibility. We may explore longer posture holds and pranayama (breath) practices. In the AM, it is nice to start gently, giving the body time to awaken, warm up, and then softly energize-the 90 minute format gives plenty of space for this gradual awakening. We might work with yoga-ties, tennis balls (similar to a "shiatsu-style" massage), or bolsters to coax the body to open. The main body of the class will include flows of varying ease and intensity, with lots of variations offered. We end with relaxation, where the deep benefits of our practice are integrated - and the forecast for the day ahead is sunny!

Class: Explore Your Core

Description: This is a strong core class with some advanced postures open to all levels as variations with modifications are offered allowing one to work at an appropriate level. We might use the physio ball to challenge the deepest core stabilizers while toning the entire body.

Description: Beginning with a meditative inward focus moving through warm ups and into a stronger flow sequence, we will focus on breath awareness to open the body through deep stretches allowing for increased energy, strength and flexibility. We may explore longer posture holds and pranayama (breath) practices. In this eclectic class, Naresh starts by calming through breath practice, and then builds to a stronger flow. We use alignment to know our bodies more deeply, to explore and eventually release areas of blocked energy. A great class for those moving up from a beginner level; variations and the use of props are offered. Yoga practice is a wonderful doorway into more vibrant health and well-being, greater self-acceptance and a quieter mind. Join us, and let go of your busy day!

Class: Yoga as Therapy - Shoulders & Hips

Description: For those suffering from chronic muscular/skeletal tensions in the Hip or Shoulder Girdle, with no restrictions prohibiting them from participating in movement therapy. This class will focus on foundational aspects of yoga (breath, deliberate movement, and structural integrity). This drop-in weekly class will alternate each week with an exploration of hips or shoulders with clear instruction and slow pace to give time to integrate the learning. Students must have the ability to move up and down from the floor with no assistance.

Description: A focus on relaxing the entire body in restful postures, this class may include use of props, such as yoga blocks, cushions, ties, or blankets to further facilatate a deep relaxation, allowing the body an opportunity to renew and heal. This class also supports those in need of recovery from injury or illness.

Class: Cultivating Calm - Yoga for Stress

Description: This unique class is structured to support those suffering from the challenges of stress or anxiety in their day to day lives, or those who feel stressed in the moment. We will cultivate a sense of calm and well being in the safety of a supportive environment using quiet movements, breath, awareness and reflection. The intention of the class is to release tension in the body and in the mind creating a place of balance, and then using the safety and consistency of the practice to develop confidence and tools to manage times of challenge.

Drawing from a variety of Hatha yoga styles, we will explore postures, flow sequences, pranyama and meditation that expand your capacity for breath, energy, strength, flexibility and freedom of movement. It is an uplifting practice that increases muscle tone, improves flexibility and concentration, detoxifies the vital organs and allows you to relax deeply.
