Massage

This is a hands-on approach using a variety of modalities and individual techniques such as relaxation, deep tissue bodywork, or even Yoga inspired massage. Bodywork could be considered touching with purpose. This purpose may be directed toward relieving muscle pain and stress, increasing body awareness, or bringing balance to a life in crisis. You may find benefits in the active stimulation of skin, lymph and blood, relaxation of the muscles and nervous system, elimination of metabolic waste, and a stretching of connective tissues. By opening up the body, energy can flow more easily, which helps alleviate common problematic conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties, menstrual problems and stress-related conditions.

In a bodywork session you may be gently urged to participate through heightened awareness and communicating with your practitioner. Long, lengthening strokes with gentle rocking and stretching, passive joint movement, sculpting of deep musculature, delicate cranial balancing, subtle nerve repatterning and the specific point work may all be part of the session. Personal attention takes precedence over technique; thus each bodywork session is unique in itself. The practitioner may utilize yoga as a follow up tool, or even in the session.

Bodywork happens any time you focus attention on the life of your body, whether while playing sports, working in your garden, or simply feeling your feet on the floor. Thus the meditation of receiving touch from another is part of a large picture of richness which can put you very firmly in touch with your more personal self, since sensation is our primary connection to our world.

Choose from the modalities listed below and, in the choosing begin to create a session which serves your needs. Allow experienced touch to guide your body into ease and healing.

Relaxation

This soothing bodywork enhances the integration of body, mind and spirit. Guided breath awareness and a meditative focus on physical sensation stimulate energy to flow throughout the body. Profoundly relaxing!

Deep Relaxation Bodywork
with Naresh Ron King

The massage is am offering is about relaxation, breath and awareness. The deep yet gentle bodywork into the tissues, and the tension hiding there, gradually releases the knots and tightness. I like to work slowly, moving more deeply layer by layer, so the body can release gradually. Breath and relaxation are linked, one supporting the other. You get to relax, and be present with the breath and the body, remembering how to let go from the inside. I am honored to be able to serve the Vernon community in this very nurturing way. Namaste.
