Bill Eager
Bill has been a long time athletic enthusiast with long distance running, downhill ski racing, mountain climbing, cycling, tennis golf and frisbee with dog friend, Otis and many cultural pursuits studying, voice (singing), acting, writing and film making. Next stop, beat poetry and hip-hop dancing.
Bill discovered Hatha yoga in 2002 and became very surprised and intrigued by how much relaxed energy and balance came from the practice.
This was especially useful given Bill's demanding work schedule as a senior project manager for Rykon Group Developments as well as his visibly active volunteer involvement in a number of community based organizations.
In 2005, Bill took some meaningful time off and completed his first teacher training at Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica and since 2006 has been teaching at Trinity Yoga Center. Bill subsequently completed advanced studies with Erich Schiffmann and further advanced studies back at Nosara Yoga Institute and completed his 500 hour YTT designation in the spring of 2010 and more recently Yin Yoga teacher training with Bernie Clark in Vancouver.
Bill's practice and study encompasses several yoga lineages including, Iyenger, Bikram, Ashtanga and Kripalu and today, especially interested in the study and practice of Yin and Anusara yoga as well as many other types of healing through movement, meditation and breath work. Bill was also a student mentor for the 2009/2010 Trinity Yoga Teacher Training.
Bill is as much a dedicated student as he is a teacher and brings a dynamic blend of high energy, intention and lively spirit of inquiry to his classes. Bill is wholly committed to the possibility of revealing our own true nature through yoga practice and has an irrepressible enthusiasm for sharing the rich benefits of yoga for everyone.
"I have students from age 15 to age 70 and there is absolutely something for everyone no matter age, size, shape or occupation. It's a simple matter of allowing your self the gift to experience health and well being in a new and powerful way. Why not feel as good as you can possibly feel. Try it and yes, you have the time!" My friend and teacher Erich Schiffman says it best...
"Dare to do what your inner feelings are guiding you to do and in the living moment, give expression to it"
Erich Schiffman – Yoga Master and Author, Vencie, California
